The “Pin-spiration” – Design & Niche
This foundational module is your entry into the vibrant world of enamel pin collecting. We'll start by exploring the culture of pin collecting—why people are so passionate about these "wearable art" pieces—and how you fit in as a designer. You'll learn the crucial, technical differences between Hard Enamel and Soft Enamel pins, which will dictate your design, cost, and "vibe." We'll also cover the exciting special features (like glitter and spinners) that can make your pins stand out. Most importantly, we'll help you find your unique "pin-fluencer" niche, and start the creative process of moving from a simple sketch to a digital concept. We'll also briefly touch on the difference between the brooch and pin markets.

Designing for Production (The “Tech Pack”)
Module Description: This is the most crucial technical module of the course. You'll learn how to take your creative sketch and translate it into the mandatory, production-ready digital file that factories require. We'll start with the single most important concept: why your design must be a "Vector" (and what that means). You'll learn how to set up your file, the rules of creating clean "line art" (the metal blueprint), and why you must use Pantone colors (not just any color). Finally, we'll assemble all of this into your official "Tech Pack"—the master blueprint you'll send to your manufacturer, including the hidden "back stamp" that marks your work.

Manufacturing, Sourcing & Quality Control
This is the logistical heart of your business—the module where you learn how to take your digital design file and turn it into a real, physical, high-quality product. We'll demystify the manufacturing process, starting with how to find and professionally vet a manufacturer (often overseas) using tools like Alibaba and Instagram. You'll learn how to write a professional "Request for Quote" (RFQ) and understand the quotes you get back, including mold fees and per-piece costs. We'll walk through the crucial proofing process, from digital mockups to physical samples. Finally, we'll cover one of the most important steps: Quality Control (QC), teaching you how to sort your final order into "A-Grade" (sellable) and "B-Grade" (Seconds), and how to source your essential packaging like backing cards and clutches.

Branding & The “Unboxing” Experience
Module Description: Your pin is made, but the product is not finished. This module focuses on creating the full, branded package that your customer receives. You'll learn that the backing card isn't just cardboard—it's the "stage" for your pin, and we'll cover how to design it professionally in Canva or Illustrator. We'll then cover the final packaging layers, from protective cellophane sleeves (and their eco-friendly alternatives) to the mailers and "thank you" notes that create a memorable "unboxing experience." Finally, we'll formally establish your brand's core identity by creating your name, logo, and color palette.

Pricing, Photography & E-Commerce
Module Description: This is the module where your pin becomes a real product. You have the design (Module 2) and the physical item (Module 3); now you must learn how to price, photograph, and sell it. We'll cover the critical pricing formula for handmade goods, factoring in your mold, your unit cost, your shipping, and your packaging. You'll learn the essential strategy of "Seconds Sales" for your flawed "B-Grade" pins to recoup costs and build hype. We'll do a deep dive into product photography, teaching you how to light and style your tiny, shiny pins to make them look irresistible. Finally, we'll compare the two main e-commerce platforms, Etsy and Shopify, and help you write a product description that sells.

Marketing & The “Pin Community”
This module is about launching your pin and building a loyal following. You'll learn why Instagram is your #1 marketing tool and how to use it effectively. We'll cover the strategy of "The Pin Drop"—using hype and limited stock to sell out. You'll also learn the savvy business strategy of using Pre-Orders to fund your first pin's manufacturing cost before you've even paid the factory. We'll explore the community-building aspects of collaborations and trading. Finally, we'll cover how to take your business offline to Artist Alleys and how to use Kickstarters to fund entire, ambitious collections.
