Definition:

The Future Continuous Tense is used to describe

  • Actions that will be happening at a specific time in the future

  • Ongoing future activities

  • Future actions that will be interrupted by another action


Structure:

Affirmative Sentences (Positive statements):

Structure:
                 Subject + will be + Verb + ing + Object

Examples:

  • I will be studying at 9 PM.

  • She will be cooking dinner.

  • They will be playing football tomorrow evening.

  • He will be sleeping at that time.

  • We will be traveling to Lahore next week.


Negative Sentences:

Structure:
                 Subject + will not be (won’t be) + Verb + ing + Object

Examples:

  • I will not be working tomorrow.

  • She won’t be watching TV.

  • They won’t be coming to school.

  • He will not be attending the meeting.

  • We will not be playing tonight.


Interrogative Sentences (Questions):

Structure:
                 Will + Subject + be + Verb + ing + Object + ?

Examples:

  • Will you be studying at 8 PM?

  • Will she be cooking dinner?

  • Will they be playing cricket?

  • Will he be working late?

  • Will we be going to the park?


Time Words Commonly Used:

  • At this time tomorrow

  • Next week/next month

  • In the evening

  • All day

  • While (for future actions happening at the same time)


Real-life Usage Examples:

  1. I will be working on my project tomorrow at 10 AM.

  2. She will be studying during the night.

  3. They will be traveling to Islamabad next week.

  4. We will be having dinner when you arrive.

  5. He will be watching the match this evening.
