Introduction to Future Indefinite Tense: Passive

2. Review of Future Indefinite Tense: Active Voice

  • Structure:
    Subject + will/shall + 1st form of verb + object

  • Examples:

    • He will complete the project.

    • They will arrange the meeting.


3. Structure of Future Indefinite Tense: Passive Voice

  • Structure:
    Object + will/shall + be + 3rd form of verb + (by + subject)

  • Examples:

    • The project will be completed by him.

    • The meeting will be arranged by them.


4. Identification: How to Recognize Future Indefinite Passive Sentences

  • Urdu Sentence Clue:
    جملے جن کا اختتام “دیا جائے گا، دی جائے گی، دیے جائیں گے” پر ہوتا ہے

    • Example: کام مکمل کیا جائے گا۔

  • Helping verbs: will/shall + be

  • Verb: Always 3rd form (Past Participle)


5. Rules to Convert Active to Passive (Future Indefinite Tense)

6. Examples: Active to Passive Conversion

Active Voice Passive Voice
She will write a report. A report will be written by her.
They will announce the results. The results will be announced by them.
He will deliver the lecture. The lecture will be delivered by him.
I will complete the assignment. The assignment will be completed by me.

7. Negative Sentences in Passive Voice

  • Structure:
    Object + will/shall + not + be + 3rd form + (by + subject)

  • Examples:

    • He will not attend the meeting → The meeting will not be attended by him.

    • She will not bake a cake → A cake will not be baked by her.


8. Interrogative Sentences in Passive Voice

a. Yes/No Questions

  • Structure:
    Will/Shall + object + be + 3rd form + (by + subject)?

  • Example:

    • Will she complete the form? → Will the form be completed by her?

b. Wh-Questions

  • Structure:
    Wh-word + will/shall + object + be + 3rd form + (by + subject)?

  • Example:

    • When will he submit the report? → When will the report be submitted by him?
